Coach
I grew up locally playing basketball and softball for Byron High School, I then had the opportunity to play Division 1 Softball for North Dakota State. I strongly believe that sports and being a part of a team has taught me hard work, dedication, and how to be a part of something bigger than yourself. After college, I attended Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences where I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I now practice in Sports Medicine at Mayo and also provide baseball and softball coaching at The Yard.
When I was a junior in high school I had a devastating ankle injury that required major surgery and approximately a year rehab. I lost my senior year of basketball and was uncertain if I would be able to return to playing at a high enough level to compete in college. I had the most incredible support system and PT who supported, motivated, and inspired me at one of the most challenging times of my young athletic career. This impact inspired me to become a PT and do the same for other athletes to help them chase their dreams and return to the sport they love.
I coach athletes because I feel that it is an incredible way to give back to my community, empower all athletes to rise to challenges and do things they feel they couldn't, as well as perform at their best on and off the field.
