I have always had a love for weight training that began in my parent's garage at age 14. I started with a barbell and a bench and from there I fell in love with how good it felt to be strong and capable. This has stuck with me and I love to show other women that weight-lifting and training hard can be very empowering. I played soccer and softball in high school and began running for pleasure in college. I later began running in road races and Spartan races as a means to lose weight after having children and to challenge myself. From there I discovered CrossFit and began competing both individually and with teams. I found the heavy lifting in CrossFit to be my favorite part and got to watch my body composition change to a much leaner physique.
